Context

What needs to be considered during an SAP rollout?

Rollout projects involving SAP open up the opportunity to standardise certain processes throughout the company. Typically, the starting point is an SAP template that defines certain business processes. This template ensures that key company requirements are implemented consistently, across all branch locations, subsidiaries and business units affected by the rollout. However, local adjustments are inevitable, for example due to local administrative and legal requirements. To a certain extent, every rollout project calls for a compromise between a global standard and local requirements.
We know the challenges of SAP rollout projects very well and can support you flexibly, both in the legacy world of SAP ECC as well as in every Line of Business (LoB) of SAP S/4HANA.

In this way, we ensure the compatibility of the SAP systems with the corporate requirements of the company on the one hand and the needs of the branch locations in the individual countries on the other.

Depending on requirements, the support we give can cover the following areas, for example:

  • Fit Gap Analysis
  • Management of the rollout implementation
  • Executing all or selected implementation work such as customising or code adaptations
  • Ensuring SAP compliance with local laws
  • Co-ordination with subcontractors
  • Hypercare support
  • SAP training

Our approach

How does teamative proceed with SAP rollouts?

Together with you, we determine the project scope and help to develop a rollout plan that is coordinated across the affected locations. Based on this, we determine the required team size and the necessary skills package

Which local business requirements need to be considered? What legal and administrative requirements need to be observed? Based on these and other questions, we determine the extent to which the SAP template needs to be adapted for certain branch locations or subsidiaries.

The necessary technical work takes place during the actual rollout phase. The SAP system, with its interfaces and processes, is made available at the target locations and if the situation requires it, data is also migrated from legacy systems.

The locally adapted SAP system is deployed during the go-live phase, and depending on requirements, this process is accompanied by any necessary change management measures. This is then typically followed by further opportunities to optimise the new system.
